I am retired and loving it. I have a wonderful husband of 55 years. We have 3 awesome children, 7 fabulous grandchildren and 8 incredibly precious great-grandchildren. I enjoy reading, walking, biking, card making, tatting, X stitching and quilling. My winters in Minnesota are spent mostly indoors while in the summer my husband and I spend quality time on our Harley enjoying the beautiful scenery in our area. I hate to cook, love anything sweet and have mixed feelings about exercising.

Flying glue disaster card!

If you know anything about me, you probably know that most of my cards have a story that goes along with them.  Today’s card is no exception.  This week on Mod Squad Challenge Blog http://modsquadchallenge.blogspot.com/ we were asked to make a card using the white wash technique.  I love that technique and had no trouble designing or coloring my card.  The problem arose when I was squeezing glue on the image so it could be attached to the frame.  The cap came off the glue and glue went everywhere.  I had glue on my card, glue on the table, glue on the floor and glue on my hands.  Not only was there glue on the card, it bubbled in spots where the glue was heavy. The image isn’t exactly centered either but I had a few more important things that needed my immediate attention.  Don’t feel bad for me though; it was actually quite funny once I got it all cleaned up.  I’m calling it my flying glue disaster card. :-) TFL
Ps: There is only so much you can cover up with bows or butterflies so please don't look too closely.

  1. Oh my goodness! What a terrible glue disaster, but funny too. Glad you were able to salvage the card and all of your surroundings that got glued. Your card is a great example of the white wash technique. Love it on Kraft paper too. Thanks so must for entering the challenge, looking forward to seeing more of you. Hugs!

  4. Well, you know what? This was a happy accident - after you cleaned everything up that is. I think this card is stunning, and if you have placed those butterflies strategically to cover up boo boo's then the boo boo's are perfect...haha. I always love your little stories....XOXO
