About Me

My photo
Minnesota, United States
I am retired and loving it. I have a wonderful husband of 55 years. We have 3 awesome children, 7 fabulous grandchildren and 8 incredibly precious great-grandchildren. I enjoy reading, walking, biking, card making, tatting, X stitching and quilling. My winters in Minnesota are spent mostly indoors while in the summer my husband and I spend quality time on our Harley enjoying the beautiful scenery in our area. I hate to cook, love anything sweet and have mixed feelings about exercising.

These are two of the cards I made for church for November. I masked off the center and the sun and sponged on SU night of navy, so saffron and more mustard. Then I sponged summer sun on the sun area.

I taped the 4 1/4 X 5 ½ sponged card front to a piece of copy paper and printed the saying in Univrsty Roman font and used the MDS 1 digital stamp Just Believe in chocolate chip.  The bird was purchased at Impress. The card front is matted in navy blue and yellow Bazzill textured cardstock.  A stampin’ Up punch was used for the corners.

EB World Challenge

This is my first entry into a challenge at Elisabeth Bell's World challenge Blog at http://elisabethbellsworldchallengeblog.blogspot.com/

The challenge was to make a Christmas card without using a Christmas Image.  I chose to make a side step card using this adorable birthday digi image that I colored with Prisma Colored pencils. This was my first purchase of an EB digi but certainly not my last.

Iam also entering this card in http://www.stampsmiles.com/2012/09/september-blog-candy.html#.UEH4yNZlQf4 Crafty Christmas Challenge

Challenge #150 Lovely Layers

These cards were made for my twin granddaughters.  The belly bands have a place in the back for money or a gift card.  The fairy dust was made out of glitter and embossing powder given to one of the twins by their dad’s mom (Grandma Grace) when she retired from stamping. I am entering them in Mo Manning's challenges at http://mosdigitalchallenge.blogspot.com/
