About Me

My photo
Minnesota, United States
I am retired and loving it. I have a wonderful husband of 55 years. We have 3 awesome children, 7 fabulous grandchildren and 8 incredibly precious great-grandchildren. I enjoy reading, walking, biking, card making, tatting, X stitching and quilling. My winters in Minnesota are spent mostly indoors while in the summer my husband and I spend quality time on our Harley enjoying the beautiful scenery in our area. I hate to cook, love anything sweet and have mixed feelings about exercising.

Gift It

I made X-stitched sleds and felt ornaments as Christmas gifts this year.  Unfortunately I mailed one sled without taking a picture first.  And of course it was my favorite design.  I'm entering my handmade gifts into http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge/

Some Bunny

I'm not sure if this counts as paper piecing but I cut out those tiny carrots on the frame from the background paper.  They are covering up a glue spot.  I don't do well with glue!!!!!!

Ya Wanna Piece of Me?

This card is being entered here:http://modsquadchallenge.com/ya-wanna-piece/
I paper pieced the inside of the ears, the cheeks, nose, toes & foot pads with the same paper I used for the frame & 1st layer.

Twins Birthday Cards

I made these cards for my great-granddaughter's 1st birthday.  It is a tradition in my family to always include an X & O someplace on a birthday card.  I thought my X & O banners were a clever way to include them in these.
I'm entering these cards here:http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge/simon-says-happy-birthday-5/

http://modsquadchallenge.com/  Inspired by "Yellow Bird"

Wish that I were a yellow bird, I'd fly away with you.
But I am not a yellow bird, So here I sit.
Nothing I can do.
Yellow bird, yellow bird.
