Here we are in December and my first card goes to my awesome great-granddaughter who turned 8 this week.
About Me
- Joan
- Minnesota, United States
- I am retired and loving it. I have a wonderful husband of 55 years. We have 3 awesome children, 7 fabulous grandchildren and 8 incredibly precious great-grandchildren. I enjoy reading, walking, biking, card making, tatting, X stitching and quilling. My winters in Minnesota are spent mostly indoors while in the summer my husband and I spend quality time on our Harley enjoying the beautiful scenery in our area. I hate to cook, love anything sweet and have mixed feelings about exercising.

Shades of Blue
Yesterday I received this beautiful handmade basket.
I wanted to make a thank you card using the same shades of blue. I fell a little short. It turns out that in natural light the blue I selected for the border was actually more on the purple side than blue. Good thing it's the thought that counts :-)

Granddaughters' Birthday
I made this card for my Granddaughters' birthday. She likes butterflies so I try to find a way to use one on her cards when I can. The butterflies and the tiny flowers were tatted by me. The image is a Wee digi (my daughter helped me alter) colored with pencils. TFL

I
finished my first pair of foot thongs.
My tatting has advanced from card fronts to foot wear thanks to all the
help I received from Katy King. If you

Dance in the rain
I made this card last week for the Outlaws challenge. Today we now have 12+ inches of snow on the ground. We'll be dancing in the snow if this keeps up much longer. So much for April showers.

Outlawz Challenge Card
I’m sorry I haven’t posted any cards in a while. I had some health issues that got in the way of my creative juices. Hopefully things will continue to improve and I can get back on track.
This is a card I made today for the Outlawz TT challenge to make something with a sport theme. I used a digital figure skating image colored with pencils. My papers are from SU.

CAS Outlawz Challenge January 13, 2013
This week’s CAS challenge on The Outlawz was to make a card with a music theme. I used spirelli to create my image. I sponged ink onto the background and tag to give it some depth.

The Outlawz CAS challenge 1/6/2013
I was honored to be asked to be a guest designer on The Outlawz CAS team for the month of January. My first card theme was to “use something new”. I’m new to tatting so I started there. I added some new tatting thread, a new crystal teardrop, a new stamp and there you have it….my new card.
