About Me
- Joan
- Minnesota, United States
- I am retired and loving it. I have a wonderful husband of 55 years. We have 3 awesome children, 7 fabulous grandchildren and 8 incredibly precious great-grandchildren. I enjoy reading, walking, biking, card making, tatting, X stitching and quilling. My winters in Minnesota are spent mostly indoors while in the summer my husband and I spend quality time on our Harley enjoying the beautiful scenery in our area. I hate to cook, love anything sweet and have mixed feelings about exercising.

Challenge #150 Lovely Layers
These cards were made for my twin granddaughters. The belly bands have a place in the back for
money or a gift card. The fairy dust was
made out of glitter and embossing powder given to one of the twins by their dad’s
mom (Grandma Grace) when she retired from stamping. I am entering them in Mo Manning's challenges at http://mosdigitalchallenge.blogspot.com/

Challenge # 146
This is a card I created for my daughter’s birthday. It is my entry into Mo Manning’s Anything
Goes challenge for the first week in August. http://mosdigitalchallenge.blogspot.com/
Church Sympathy/SC396
I am having so much fun with the stamps my granddaughter
gave me. Today I used this stamp from 1998
called Easter Blessings by SU. This is
number 49 of the 52 sympathy cards I’m making for church. What will I fill my time with when I’m done?

If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again. My first attempt to make a card using the
same stamp for the background as the image was a disaster. The water coloring was fine but the wash
behind the image was horrible. I tried a
couple of different things but ended up just cutting the flower out and putting
a flourish behind it. So MUCH better.

Pinterest Card
I saw the card in the left corner on Pinterist. I loved the image so I used it today for a challenge card on STV. I think she is adorable! ( I know I spelled the Pin......wrong but something is linking it to a different site)
