- I am retired and loving it. I have a wonderful husband of 55 years. We have 3 awesome children, 7 fabulous grandchildren and 8 incredibly precious great-grandchildren. I enjoy reading, walking, biking, card making, tatting, X stitching and quilling. My winters in Minnesota are spent mostly indoors while in the summer my husband and I spend quality time on our Harley enjoying the beautiful scenery in our area. I hate to cook, love anything sweet and have mixed feelings about exercising.

Shades of Blue
Yesterday I received this beautiful handmade basket.
I wanted to make a thank you card using the same shades of blue. I fell a little short. It turns out that in natural light the blue I selected for the border was actually more on the purple side than blue. Good thing it's the thought that counts :-)

Thanks for brightening our world!
Today is my middle child's Birthday. I made this card for her in shades of purple because purple is her favorite color. Thanks for being such a wonderful daughter....Happy Birthday!
